Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will utilize radiopharmaceuticals and related instruments to measure their concentration in various organ systems for the diagnosis and treatment of specific pathological disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and teach nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring knowledge and ability to operate radiopharmaceuticals and related instruments.
  • Develop and maintain proper interpersonal relations between physicians, co-workers, and patients, monitoring patients during tests and providing quality care.
  • Order, receive, survey, prepare, disperse, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to ALARA and radiation safety rules and regulations.
  • Operate nuclear medicine instruments during scheduled and on-call hours, ensuring quality control and adherence to established protocols.
  • Relate to and care for patients, scheduling, record-keeping, and proper phone etiquette, retrieving and archiving procedure records.
  • Achieve the organization's established expectations regarding quality service, teamwork, and staff development, fulfilling all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree
  • Minimum Experience: zero to six months
  • ARRT or NMTCB certification
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Specialty Certification
Salary Range

$ hourly (Pay per years of relative experience)
