Job Summary

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Per Diem

Job Type: Per Diem

Location: Danbury Hospital Nuclear Cardiology

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

1. Nuclear Medicine Procedures: Perform and teach nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient results.

2. Patient Care: Provide excellent patient care, maintaining a safe and respectful environment during tests.

3. Radiopharmaceutical Management: Order, receive, survey, prepare, disperse, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to quality control and radiation safety protocols.

4. Instrumentation and Quality Control: Operate nuclear medicine instruments, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance, and adhering to ALARA and radiation safety rules and regulations.

5. Administrative Tasks: Schedule appointments, maintain accurate records, and provide excellent phone etiquette, retrieving and archiving procedure records as needed.

6. Compliance and Quality: Adhere to organizational expectations regarding quality service, teamwork, and staff development, and fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

7. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of Nuvance Health.

Requirements:

1. Education: Associate's Degree

2. Experience: Zero to six months of experience, with ARRT or NMTCB certification

3. Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Specialty Certification

Salary: $ hourly (Pay per years of relative experience)
