Job Summary

This internship program is designed to provide hands-on experience in the dynamic nature of the defense industry, specifically in Procurement within the Supply Chain organization at RTX. Throughout the summer, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge of the organization as a whole while gaining exposure to leadership and real-world supply chain tools and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Gain hands-on experience with real supply chain tools and processes
  • Own or contribute to a role-specific project during your internship
  • Solve problems while thinking beyond accepted solutions
  • Understand the acquisition life cycle from requirements generation through product delivery, product support, and payment for products and services, driving synergy savings opportunities and developing solutions to support internal customers more efficiently and ultimately the Warfighter
Qualifications
  • This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Sophomore year by the start of summer 2025. Candidates must be pursuing a major in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a closely related field by Summer 2025
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, Word)

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function, and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
