About the Role

The Associate will join a private investment firm in a dynamic and growing environment. This firm focuses on lower middle market investments, acquiring businesses with EBITDA ranging from $5M - $25M. They primarily invest in the business services, healthcare, and healthcare services sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis - Create comprehensive financial models to analyze cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values for new investment opportunities and existing portfolio companies.
  • Investment Approval Materials - Prepare detailed memos and other approval materials for the Investment Committee.
  • Industry Research - Conduct in-depth research on market size, growth prospects, demand drivers, key competitors, and other relevant factors.
  • Third-Party Diligence - Facilitate diligence activities with third-party partners, including senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, and strategy consultants.
  • Portfolio Management - Assist with ongoing monitoring and ad hoc strategic projects for portfolio companies.
  • Investor Relations and Fundraising - Compile financial reports and valuation estimates of current portfolio companies for current and potential investors.
  • Marketing - Provide support and attend industry events, conferences, trade shows, and other marketing activities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in investment banking. Key qualifications include:

  • Strong Analytical and Communication Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

An undergraduate degree is required. Relevant advanced degrees are a plus.

Salary

Salary is competitive, depending on experience.
