Clinical Oncology Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the hospital setting, including outpatient infusions, injections, treatments, and chemotherapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the outpatient infusion department and provide care for patients receiving infusions or treatments.
- Function as an IV therapy nurse and provide nursing assistance as needed.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patient status and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system.
Requirements:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and provide care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
