Job Summary

Raleigh Capitol Ear, Nose, and Throat is seeking a skilled Clinical Triage Nurse or LPN to join our well-established clinical team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Telephone Triage: Perform telephone triage as ordered by the provider, engaging in telephone consultations with patients to provide guidance on the appropriate course of action.
  • Patient Assessments: Conduct concise assessments of patients' conditions to gauge the severity of their illness or injury, gathering information about their primary complaints and collecting vital signs and mental status information when possible.
  • Urgency Determination: Determine the urgency of seeing the patient based on a brief assessment and familiarity with a patient's condition and history, consulting with a physician as necessary.
  • Assessments and Treatments: Perform assessments and patient treatments as ordered by the provider, directing test results to physicians for review.
  • Patient Education: Provide patient education as needed, assisting with minor office procedures and collecting and documenting patient information thoroughly and consistently.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and other clinicians as needed, respecting and maintaining confidentiality and working in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner at all times.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Clinical Experience: Hold a RN or LPN degree and current state RN/LPN license, with current BLS certificate or ability to complete within 60 days of hire. On-the-job training in triage is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and calmly with patients, working effectively in a team environment.
  • Medical Knowledge: Knowledge of telephone-based clinical assessment techniques, medical practice telephone triage protocols, and electronic medical records.
Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8 am- 5 pm. No weekends. No Holidays.
