Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Design and implement daily lesson plans that promote social, cultural, educational, physical, and emotional growth in children.
- Classroom Management: Supervise children, classroom, and Teacher Assistants, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Communication: Conduct regular parent conferences, maintain positive relationships with parents, and engage them in the program.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including attendance, medical records, and program evaluations.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and special events to support the overall mission of the YMCA.
- Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or CDA credentials that meet DEEC, NAEYC, and QRIS qualifications.
- Certifications: EEC Toddler/Preschool/Assistant Teacher certification, CPR, and First Aid certification.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting, preferably in a diverse population.
- Skills: Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate program activities and curriculum.
- Competitive Salary: Starting at $20.00/hour, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.

- Hiring Bonus: New hires for EEC teaching positions at the YMCA of Central Massachusetts will receive a $1000 bonus, paid in two installments: $500 immediately and $500 upon successful completion of a 90-day review.
