Dental Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at Eastern Plumas Health Care. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist in performing procedures.
  • Take x-rays and assist with laboratory work.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for treatment and maintain a sterile and neat working environment.
  • Review patient health history and make chart entries under the direction of the dentist.
  • Provide support and compassion to patients during their dental visit.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of medical or clinical experience preferred.
  • Radiology training and license required.
  • California Dental Board approved course in Infection Control within 30 days of hire.
  • Command of the English language and ability to communicate clearly.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid CA driver's license and good driving record.
  • Proof of insurance coverage.
  • Ability to use a computer and perform basic tasks.
