Job Summary:

Northwell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant Extern to support our medical team. As an extern, you will assist in preparing examination rooms, escort patients, and observe medical assistants performing vital signs and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Escort patients to and from examination and/or procedure areas.
Shadow Lead or Sr. MOA when performing vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs.
Review scheduled appointments to determine needed supplies.
Obtain and set up supplies and equipment in advance.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Current enrollment in a Medical Assistant program, required.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a medical setting and develop your skills as a medical assistant.
