  • Develops metrics to measure manufacturing performance and identifies bottlenecks in equipment and process flows.
  • Ensures the application of ergonomic principles, workflow optimization, and safety measures to maintain efficient and safe use of production facilities. Plans the effective use of production resources and personnel.
  • Initiates and drives process improvement initiatives to enhance quality and delivery while minimizing process variation and waste.
  • Acts as a key liaison between manufacturing and engineering/R&D teams regarding product design, troubleshooting, functional requirements, quality, and efficiency.
  • Provides project management support for the implementation of new or improved products and processes.
  • Conducts layout designs and documentation to specify process instructions and specifications.
  • Engages in new product development processes, offering insights on enhancements and methodologies.
  • Ensures adherence to established industry safety and design standards.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer, including experience in analyzing and developing manufacturing processes that enhance quality, cost, and efficiency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with modern flow manufacturing techniques utilized in a fast-paced assembly environment.
  • Ability to design and construct jigs and fixtures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and engineering-related software applications. Competence in computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software such as ProE, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with diverse groups and produce technical documentation.
  • Proficient in identifying root causes within a manufacturing context, problem-solving, and developing suitable corrective actions.
  • Understanding of quality and risk management principles.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and physics.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
