Position Title: Multi-Tiered System of Support Specialist (MTSS)

In this role, you will oversee and facilitate the application of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports framework by delivering training, consultation, and assistance to educational staff. You will manage the Response to Intervention process to ensure that the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students are effectively addressed. This position requires independent work with minimal supervision, utilizing intermediate-level expertise to function as a seasoned individual contributor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and evaluate the caseload of students involved in the Response to Intervention (RTI) process, ensuring adherence to intervention protocols and appropriate measures are taken to enhance student success.
  • Collaborate with both district and school personnel to implement early intervention strategies and provide assistance to educators and stakeholders.
  • Organize and lead meetings with parents, educators, and other stakeholders to review student progress and intervention strategies.
  • Deliver direct support and training to educators on the effective implementation of interventions.
  • Monitor the fidelity of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) implementation at the school level for both academic and behavioral interventions.
  • Act as a liaison among students, educators, and parents by effectively communicating progress and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records by inputting data into relevant systems to track student progress.
  • Participate in professional development training sessions focused on educational strategies and policies.
  • Identify and resolve moderately complex issues as they arise.
  • Make minor adjustments to processes to improve departmental performance as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in all activities.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of successful experience in classroom teaching, educational administration, or a closely related field is required.
  • A valid Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in the relevant educational field at level T-4 or above, or a valid Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in counseling, psychology, or social work at level S-5 or above is required.
    • Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Facilitator Endorsement or Student Support Team (SST) Coordinator Endorsement is preferred.
