Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to enhance our dynamic team. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional care to individuals undergoing fertility treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a high volume of phlebotomy procedures.
  • Maintain and organize supplies for blood collection stations.
  • Assist in the clinical care of fertility patients.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of lab specimens to designated laboratories.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and couples regarding procedures and physician instructions.
  • Deliver pre-operative and post-operative education to patients.
  • Conduct semen washes and prepare for intrauterine inseminations (IUIs).
  • Measure vital signs and offer general clinical assistance.
  • Utilize computer systems for lab entries and label printing.
  • Foster a supportive environment by offering emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Work independently to meet program objectives.
  • Promote excellence in customer service.
  • Handle incoming phone inquiries.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Process payments accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient phlebotomy skills.
  • Experience in medical front desk operations.
  • High School diploma; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current Medical Assisting certification.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in data entry with computer applications.
  • A minimum of one year of healthcare experience and familiarity with medical terminology.
