Job Summary

SGF North Carolina, PLLC is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Cary, NC. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our fertility patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality phlebotomy services
  • Maintain blood drawing stations and ensure proper supply levels
  • Assist with clinical care of fertility patients, including semen washes and IUI setup
  • Ensure lab specimens are sent to the correct labs
  • Provide patient and couple counseling, procedure teaching, and communicate physician orders and instructions
  • Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
  • Utilize the computer to enter labs and print labels
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families
  • Work independently to achieve program goals and support excellence in customer service
  • Answer incoming phone calls, schedule patient appointments, and collect payments

Requirements:

  • Strong phlebotomy skills and cross-training at the medical front desk
  • High School diploma; Associates degree preferred
  • Completion of a formal MA program
  • Current Medical Assisting certification
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy, and speed with data entry
  • Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology
