- Assist in providing network installation, maintenance, and administration, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.
- Provide cellphone and cellular network device hardware and configuration support, ensuring seamless communication.
- Install, test, and configure operating systems and authorized software, ensuring compatibility and security.
- Follow company policy in copying software and documentation, maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
- Assist all IT teams in performing routine administrative duties, ensuring seamless operations.
- Receive, test, inventory, and configure technology hardware for shore and vessels, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of shore and vessel equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Liaise with vendors to manage equipment RMA/Warranties, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Assist in setting up training and special demonstrations, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
- Work scheduled "On-Call" afterhours rotation, ensuring 24/7 support and minimizing downtime.
- Be available to potentially travel up to 25% of your scheduled work time, ensuring effective support and collaboration.
- Support and/or perform other IT-related duties and/or project tasks as assigned, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing downtime.
- Associate Degree from an accredited technical college or equivalent 2 years comparable work experience.
- Self-motivated individual with strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to learn and retain via apprentice/mentor on-the-job training.
- Working knowledge of PC hardware, networking protocols, and mobile operating systems.
- Familiarization with MS Applications, Windows operating systems, and MS Office Suites.
- Familiarization with the troubleshooting and setup of printers, cell phones, and network equipment.
- Experience with Coaxial Connections and Soldering is welcomed but not required.
- Dexterous in the use of hand and power tools in close quarters and outdoors.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and climb ladders.
- Good driving record with current, valid Driver's license, and ability to obtain a TWIC card.
