Job Summary

Battelle is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Oxnard, CA. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of existing mechanical systems, as well as supporting the design and integration of new systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, test, and troubleshoot existing mechanical systems as part of an integrated technical team.
  • Work closely with Battelle engineers in Columbus, OH to design, fabricate, and integrate new mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with onsite clients and associate contractors to define system requirements and integrate systems.
  • Generate and interpret mechanical schematics.
  • Develop and follow installation and testing procedures within a stringent client quality assurance system.
  • Travel and work temporary assignments up to 120 days if needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Must be a US Citizen and hold an active TS/SCI w CI poly clearance to perform job duties.
  • Physically fit to accomplish required tasking, including working from ladders and in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with embedded systems design and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with electronic/mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work within a stringent client-driven quality assurance program.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of CAD/modeling programs.
