Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional teacher to join our team and lead one of our Cognitive/Autism Support classrooms. As a teacher at KIPP New Jersey, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and contribute to our mission of providing a world-class education.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement lesson plans that meet the academic needs of our students.
  • Use data to inform instruction and drive student progress.
  • Work closely with students, families, and colleagues to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Reinforce classroom management techniques and uphold a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in school, departmental, and parent meetings.
  • Participate in school events and activities.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 if graduation date is after 2016 or minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 if degree conferred before 2016.
  • Appropriate state teaching certification completed and issued or in process of being completed.
  • Subject matter expertise.
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience, with demonstrated interest in working with students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
  • A track record of success in the classroom.
  • A collaborative attitude towards teaching and learning.

KIPP NJ offers competitive salaries to newly hired lead teachers, with salaries based on prior experience and in accordance with certification requirements. Salaries range from $65,000 to $103,000+ for teacher positions, with additional opportunities for earning up to $7,000 annually in performance-based pay.
