The Batching Operations Coordinator is integral to managing and enhancing the batching processes within Vobev, LLC. Reporting directly to the R&D Manager, the Coordinator is responsible for facilitating effective production workflows by engaging with various departments and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily functions of batching operators, offering mentorship, training, and support to cultivate a workplace culture focused on safety, quality, and ongoing improvement.
  • Supervise the precise measurement and blending of ingredients in accordance with product specifications, enhancing batching and pre-weigh efficiency.
  • Guarantee adherence to recipes, formulas, and quality assurance standards, performing routine inspections and quality assessments in partnership with the Quality Control Department.
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel for equipment evaluations and repairs, ensuring that batching machinery is properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Work alongside production planning to create and execute batching schedules, maximizing production efficiency while coordinating with other teams.
  • Assist in commercialization and the development of new products, closely engaging with clients regarding quality and batch-making specifications.
  • Maintain thorough records of batching operations, generate production documentation, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.
  • Establish and uphold quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for batching practices, equipment operation, sanitation, and maintenance.
  • Encourage transparent communication within the team and across departments, addressing issues, concerns, and suggestions with upper management.

Qualifications:

Skills and Knowledge:

Proven experience in batching operations or a similar manufacturing setting, showcasing a solid understanding of quality control practices and regulatory compliance. Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a talent for motivating and developing team members. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in ERP systems and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal software applications).

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline. Alternatively, a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered, especially if the candidate possesses significant hands-on experience in batching operations or related manufacturing fields.
