LPN-Licensed Practical Nurse-Advanced Acute Care Neurosciences Specialist

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Inpatient team in the Advanced Acute Care Neurosciences unit. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care as directed by the Inpatient RN.
- Promote adaptive responses of patients or families to achieve the highest level of patient care, promote safety, and maximize patient satisfaction.
- Exhibit compassionate care during patient-nurse interactions and coordinate patient care and interaction of staff.
- Contribute data to assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Reinforce patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization.
- Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, according to policy and procedure.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and plan of care based on patient response to interventions.
