About the Endoscopy DepartmentOur Endoscopy team at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville provides comprehensive gastroenterology care to patients of all ages. We utilize advanced interventional platforms and a comprehensive approach to diagnose and treat a range of conditions. Our team consists of experienced physicians, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, technicians, and a hands-on leadership team.
Job Duties- Provide primary clinical support to providers, patients, and their families to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
- Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in medical records.
- Promote a clean environment and meet qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age ranges.
- Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data for providers.
- Assist providers in performance of minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork.
- Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice.
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Nursing.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
