We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team at The Essex Resort & Spa. As a key member of our food and beverage operations, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of our restaurants, ensuring seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
  • Monitor and critique food quality and service levels, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant staff.
  • Forecast and schedule staff according to occupancy levels, ensuring optimal staffing and minimizing waste.
  • Track payroll and revenue, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Coach and counsel staff to achieve exceptional performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure the physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant, including inspecting tabletops and side-stations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ordering new products as needed.
  • Attend department head meetings, conferences, and pre-con meetings to stay informed and aligned with company goals.
  • Conduct timely performance evaluations of staff, providing constructive feedback and development opportunities.
  • Maintain profitability of the restaurant through forecasting and staffing.
  • Communicate effectively with the Director of Food and Beverage, Director of Restaurants, and General Manager on upcoming events, promotions, and new products.
  • Handle guest complaints in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Provide a pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff and guests.
