Hydrogeologist Project Manager

Alta Science and Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Hydrogeologist Project Manager to lead our water resources projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrogeology and project management, with experience in managing complex projects and interpreting hydrogeologic and environmental data.
Key Responsibilities- Apply professional and technical experience to support and/or oversee hydrogeology and water resources projects.
- Provide support in the development and review of technical documents associated with CERCLA and State-led site investigation remedial action plan processes.
- Interpret hydrogeologic and environmental data.
- Provide technical support and oversight of water resources projects, including planning, implementation, analysis, and reporting.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including state, federal, and tribal agencies, to ensure project objectives and timelines are being met.
- Develop project scopes of work, task orders, and cost estimates. Manage project schedules, budgets, technical teams, and subcontractors.
- Support marketing and business development in water resources.
- Mentor junior staff with the potential to supervise others.
- Foster client relationships and embody company culture.
- BS in geology, hydrology, or environmental science from an accredited university with classes in hydrogeology; MS preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with managing complex projects and interpreting hydrogeologic and environmental data.
- Experience developing and/or providing technical review of site assessments, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and other technical reports.
- Experience with CERCLA and related federal and state regulations and guidance.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong scientific/technical capabilities, along with organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with strong client relationships and business development.
- Ability to travel periodically for site visits and meetings.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
