Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - General

Volt is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement production and tooling methodologies, participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and lead manufacturing plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in IPTs to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines and ensure seamless communication between teams.
  • Lead and implement manufacturing plans, including conducting producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Assist in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and help document producibility best practices.
  • Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions and resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule.
  • Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems and implement lean principles and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance after Start.
  • Possess a proactive and engaged mindset using manufacturing customer feedback and data-driven analytics to proactively problem-solve.
  • 7+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment as a manufacturing or process engineer supporting production of a manufacturing process.
  • Experience creating work instructions (text-based and graphic) to aid in the manufacture of a product.
  • Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • STEM Bachelor's Degree required.
