{"Job Title": "Process Engineering Internship Opportunity", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineering Intern to join our team at Carr Lane Manufacturing Co. in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Process Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our Production Leadership team to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency in manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will include performing time studies, analyzing data, and making recommendations to improve processes. You will also have the opportunity to work with various departments, including Operations and Quality Assurance, to share ideas and gain feedback related to work processes.

**Responsibilities:**

* Work with Manufacturing Team to analyze and evaluate methods of production and recommend areas for improvement
* Perform time studies and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routings in ERP System
* Communicate with departments in Operations and all levels of the organization to share ideas and gain feedback related to work processes
* Support and/or lead investigations to determine options for change and improvement to manufacturing process
* Develop and implement functional descriptions and process control strategies that improve results and reduce variability
* Coordinate with process programmers to debug and deploy in the plants
* Identify and address opportunities for yield improvement, waste reduction, throughput enhancement, and improved process control and consistency
* Engage with QA team on the evaluation and continuous improvement of in-process and finished product analytical instrumentation
* Work with manufacturing team to ensure critical processes, control points, and measurements are properly maintained for consistent performance

**Requirements:**

* Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related program
* General understanding and interest in manufacturing
* Analytical skills, problem solving mentality
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience working in a manufacturing environment
* Experience collecting and analyzing data

**Physical Requirements:**

* Close visual acuity
* Subject to noise, hazards, and oils
