About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Vice President, Consumer and Food Public Relations to join our team at Resolute Digital, a Weber Shandwick Company. As a key member of our Consumer Practice, you will be responsible for leading media relations strategy and execution for our consumer and food clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crafting Compelling Stories
    • Develop and execute earned media strategies that drive significant media engagement and brand awareness.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and guide smart earned-led media strategies across various programs.
  • Building Relationships
    • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with national and regional news, food, lifestyle, and entertainment reporters.
    • Develop a deep understanding of our client's business and target audiences.
  • Media Training and Coaching
    • Counsel junior members of the team to effectively work with the media and develop their skill sets in the agency setting.
    • Media train senior clients to ensure they are prepared for media interviews and appearances.
  • Project Management
    • Manage earned media campaigns, including thought leadership, product launches, business campaigns, and celebrity partnerships.
    • Allocate agency resources in accordance with our client's budget.
  • Client Service
    • Provide exceptional client service, counseling, and interaction with senior management at client organizations.
    • Ensure ideas are earned-worthy and drive significant media engagement.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in consumer and food public relations, with a strong track record of success in media relations and campaign execution.
  • Skills
    • Proven ability to garner earned-first coverage, especially in food and lifestyle outlets.
    • Several close relationships with top-tier food and lifestyle media at the national level.
    • Strong presentation skills and the ability to craft strategy for new business presentations.
    • Ability to effectively balance and prioritize multiple projects and deliverables.
  • Education
    • BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
