Job Summary

We are seeking a senior-level Site Civil Engineer to join our team at POWER Engineers. As a key member of our electrical utility and renewable energy service areas, you will be responsible for supporting high-performing projects with a focus on the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support grading and drainage/stormwater management design for new and existing electrical utility sites, renewable energy sites, and access road design, permitting, and construction support.
  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables in support of civil/site engineering projects, including AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management calculations, design, and modeling, floodplain modeling and analysis, site layout, grading, drainage designs, and drawings, bill of materials, and construction specifications.
  • Perform detailed engineering reviews of the work submitted by others and provide mentorship and guidance to others.
  • Coordinate regularly with the Project Engineer/Manager to ensure project scope, budget, and quality expectations are met.
Requirements
  • BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineer License.
  • Eight (8) + years of experience in civil site/design as outlined above.
  • Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Candidate is legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
Desired Qualifications
  • Stormwater management and hydraulic modeling software (Autodesk SSA, SWMM, HEC-RAS, etc.) experience in drainage, detention, and stormwater conveyance.
  • Electric utility substation design experience is a plus.
  • Managerial and leadership skills a plus.
