Job Overview

Tradewind Aviation is a leading Part 135 commuter and on-demand private charter operator with operational bases at multiple airports. As a full-time Dispatch Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the overall performance of the Dispatch team. Your exceptional service skills and innovative ideas will ensure ongoing improved performance and operational success.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will lead a cross-functional team to execute flights safely and deliver high levels of service. You will work closely with the Sales and Service teams to ensure smooth workflow and alignment of objectives. This role requires flexibility with work schedule and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor Dispatch Supervisor(s) and team members to foster individual growth and a positive work environment.
  • Cultivate a customer-focused team culture where employees anticipate and exceed client needs.
  • Lead the hiring process by conducting interviews and selecting top talent.
  • Continuously improve training materials and programs to enhance employee performance.
  • Mange the scheduling of full-time, part-time, and on-call employees to meet operational needs.
  • Address seasonal staffing changes and ensure adequate coverage across shifts.
  • Work with team members to achieve daily, monthly, and annual goals.
  • Foster communication to maintain efficiency across the organization.
  • Regularly evaluate and recommend updates to departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of managerial experience.
  • FAA Dispatch license or 3+ years of applicable experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking capability.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate consistent high level interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with aviation scheduling software.
