Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Lead to join our team at Sekisui Aerospace. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly process, ensuring high-quality products, and leading a team of production employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and scheduling to production team members in their daily activities.
  • Assign work and give directions to team members.
  • Monitor work progress and communicate with all departments, logistics, engineering, and production management.
  • Investigate and fix problems on the production floor.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members by investigating root cause for scrap and RMA issues.
  • Work with team and quality department to prevent recurrence.
  • Train and orient new employees on company standards and procedures.
  • Implement 5S tools and reduce variation in the work environment.
  • Develop employees' continuous improvement abilities.
  • Use and develop visual systems so that no problems are hidden.
Requirements
  • One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed instruction.
  • Intermediate to advanced math skills.
  • Capability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Able to identify defective materials and parts.
  • Understanding of technology with the ability to learn new platforms and systems.
Working Conditions

While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.

  • Usually work indoors.
  • Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment.
  • Exposure to contaminants.
  • Shared workspaces with other employees.
  • Requires handing objects of up to 50 lbs.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
  • Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime).
