Production Scheduler Analyst

Position Overview: The Scheduler Analyst plays a crucial role in streamlining work orders for production fabrication units, ensuring timely delivery of goods while adhering to quality and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that designated feeder departments adhere to established work schedules to guarantee the availability of fabricated components for assembly operations.
  • Prepare, manage, and evaluate manufacturing work orders, ensuring timely completion.
  • Identify necessary parts, job sequences, and suitable machinery to meet production demands.
  • Collaborate with feeder departments to ensure efficient manufacturing processes and accurate inventory management.
  • Work closely with the purchasing department to confirm that raw materials and components are delivered promptly.
  • Engage with various teams daily to facilitate the flow of materials, BOMs, and routers, addressing any issues related to manufacturing efficiency or capacity changes.
  • Regularly review and analyze capacity reports, coordinating with relevant departments to plan and resolve any arising issues.
  • Monitor daily schedule performance.
  • Conduct work order management and reporting activities to enhance schedule adherence.
  • Identify potential issues that may affect the production schedule.
  • Lead scheduling meetings and participate in discussions as necessary.
  • Forecast, plan, and communicate effectively with other facilities.
  • Contribute to company-wide 5-S initiatives.
  • Coordinate service components for the service department.
  • Maintain a safe and high-quality work environment.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required.
  • Ensure accurate production scheduling to achieve 100% on-time delivery with minimal inventory.

Nature and Scope:

  • Operate within a defined set of guidelines.
  • Be flexible with working hours as needed.
  • Provide assistance when required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Capable of functioning in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management abilities.
  • Skilled in managing and prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment and logic to resolve issues.
  • Familiarity with databases, preferably Mapics.

Experience:

  • Over one year of scheduling experience in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with Mapics is highly desirable.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
