Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that designated feeder departments adhere to established work schedules to maintain an adequate supply of fabricated components for assembly operations.
  • Prepare, oversee, and evaluate manufacturing work orders, ensuring timely completion.
  • Assess required parts, job sequences, and suitable machinery to meet production demands.
  • Collaborate with feeder departments to guarantee efficient manufacturing processes and accurate inventory management.
  • Work closely with the purchasing department to ensure timely availability and delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Engage with all teams daily to facilitate the flow of materials, BOMs, and routers, addressing any issues related to manufacturing efficiency or capacity changes.
  • Regularly review and analyze capacity reports, coordinating with relevant departments to plan and resolve any issues.
  • Monitor daily schedule performance and manage work order reporting to drive schedule adherence.
  • Identify potential issues that may affect scheduling.
  • Conduct scheduling meetings and participate as necessary.
  • Forecast, plan, and communicate with other facilities within the organization.
  • Contribute to company-wide 5-S initiatives.
  • Coordinate service components for the service department.
  • Maintain a safe and high-quality work environment.
  • Assist with additional responsibilities as required.
  • Ensure accurate production scheduling to achieve 100% on-time delivery with minimal inventory.
Work Environment
  • Operate within a defined set of guidelines.
  • Be flexible with working hours as needed.
  • Provide assistance when required.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Capable of functioning in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in managing and prioritizing multiple projects/orders.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment and logic to identify root causes and develop reasonable solutions.
  • Familiarity with databases, preferably Mapics.
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of scheduling experience in a high-mix volume manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with Mapics is highly preferred.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
