Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that designated feeder departments adhere to work schedules to maintain sufficient availability of fabricated components for Assembly operations.
  • Prepare, manage, and analyze manufacturing work orders, ensuring their timely completion.
  • Identify necessary parts, job sequences, and suitable machinery to meet production demands.
  • Collaborate with feeder departments to guarantee efficient manufacturing of parts while accurately meeting inventory requirements.
  • Work closely with the purchasing department to ensure timely availability and delivery of raw materials and purchased components.
  • Engage with all teams daily to facilitate the flow of materials, BOMs, and Routers, addressing any issues related to manufacturing efficiency or changes in capacity.
  • Regularly review and analyze capacity reports, coordinating with relevant departments to plan and resolve any issues.
  • Monitor daily schedule achievement.
  • Manage work order activities and reporting to enhance schedule attainment.
  • Identify potential issues that may affect the schedule.
  • Conduct scheduling meetings and participate in discussions as necessary.
  • Forecast, plan, and communicate with other Daikin facilities.
  • Contribute to company-wide 5-S initiatives.
  • Schedule service components for the Service department.
  • Maintain a focus on safety and quality in all tasks.
  • Assist with additional responsibilities as required.
  • Ensure accurate production scheduling to achieve 100% on-time delivery with minimal inventory.

Nature and Scope:

  • Operate within a defined set of guidelines.
  • Flexibility in working hours may be required.
  • Provide assistance as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Capacity to perform in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects/orders effectively.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and logical reasoning to resolve issues.
  • Familiarity with databases, preferably Mapics.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of scheduling experience in a high-mix volume manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with Mapics is highly desirable.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
