Position Overview:

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is in search of a Geographic Information Systems Analyst who will operate under general oversight, assisting in the development and upkeep of the Department's GIS databases, spatial coverage, and various connections to other data systems that support the Department's law enforcement operations. Additional related responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. This role is classified as competitive.

This recruitment effort aims to create an 18-month eligibility list to fill both current and future job openings during the life of the list. Timely application submission is encouraged as the application period may conclude without prior notice.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in GIS; OR a combination of education and experience totaling five (5) years.

NOTE: One year of professional experience is equivalent to thirty (30) semester hours of coursework from an accredited institution.

A valid Arizona driver’s license is required and must be maintained.

Pre-Employment Requirements:
