Tramec is experiencing significant growth and is in search of a skilled Fabrication Specialist to become part of our dynamic team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in the construction and assembly of extruded aluminum structures and protective components utilizing a range of tools and machinery. This is a full-time, non-exempt role, operating Monday through Friday with potential for overtime.

Compensation begins at $23.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Choose materials and components based on outlined specifications.
  • Assemble components using hand and power tools, including torque wrenches, chop saws, and drill presses.
  • Measure, cut, and shape materials to specified dimensions.
  • Align and fit components to ensure a precise assembly.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of assembled products to confirm functionality.
  • Inspect final products for quality assurance and accuracy.
  • Maintain an organized and safe workspace and tool inventory.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using standard measuring tools.
  • Familiarity with assembly techniques and methodologies.
  • Competence in operating hand and power tools.
  • Experience with basic fabrication tools such as jigs, fixtures, drills, and saws.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination.
  • Aptitude for working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and managing multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must possess good vision, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and communicate effectively.
  • May need to perform repetitive tasks, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
