About The Role:
As a Product Design Engineer at Utilimaster, you will be responsible for leading the design and validation of vehicle features essential for enhancing product quality and durability. This role involves providing cost-effective engineering solutions while collaborating with various teams to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
• Drive the design, development, and validation of vehicle design features
• Provide accurate, timely, and cost-effective engineering solutions that work well within the limits of our manufacturing equipment and assembly capabilities
• Meet customer expectations, perform for the desired warranty period, and comply with regulatory requirements
• Utilize Lean and Six Sigma techniques to achieve simplification and commonization
• Develop engineering solutions that maximize financial profitability
• Solve manufacturing and assembly problems

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Two or more years of Product Design Engineering expertise
• Experience utilizing SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of metal fabrication, forming, tolerances, and capabilities
• Well-versed in industrial extrusion processes
• Proficient in vehicle design, testing, and the certification process
• Practical experience with ANSI-Y14.5 tolerancing requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word and Excel
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for delivery vehicles

Estimated Salary Range:
$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
