OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Housekeeping Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all guest accommodations meet the highest cleanliness standards. This role involves overseeing the housekeeping team, managing resources, and ensuring that all housekeeping and laundry operations run smoothly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver exceptional service to all guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while meeting team and brand objectives.
- Supervise and mentor housekeeping staff, providing clear communication, training, and constructive feedback to enhance performance.
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
- Assign tasks to staff based on special requests and operational needs to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Manage inventory by distributing supplies to staff at the beginning of shifts, ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records for lost and found items and respond to inquiries to uphold guest service standards.
- Adhere to emergency protocols to protect the hotel, guests, and staff.
- Maintain regular attendance and be available for shifts as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in hotel housekeeping, ideally between six months to one year, or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and moving throughout the facility.
- Capability to manage a demanding workload and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Compliance with drug-free workplace policies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and moving objects weighing over 40 pounds.
- Good hearing and vision capabilities.
