Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular team.
Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cardiac cath lab, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
- Scrub for diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, utilizing advanced technical skills and knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures, providing accurate and timely information to the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the technical aspects of the procedure and post-procedure care.
- Assist in ordering supplies and maintaining inventory, ensuring cost efficiency and effective use of resources.
- Cath Lab/Special Procedures Lab experience preferred.
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree or above preferred.
- Current enrollment in an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.
- BLS Certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
- ACLS Certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy within 6 months.
- RCIS, or RCES, or RT (R) license from an accrediting body within 12 months.
