Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular team.
Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cardiac cath lab, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in the scrubbing of diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, utilizing your technical skills and knowledge to ensure accurate and effective results.
- Monitor and document patient hemodynamic data, providing critical information to healthcare providers to inform treatment decisions.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Cath Lab/Special Procedures Lab experience preferred.
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree or above preferred.
- Current enrollment in an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.
- BLS Certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
- ACLS Certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy within 6 months.
- RCIS, or RCES, or RT (R) license from an accrediting body within 12 months.
