Research Professor of Hematology and Oncology

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology is seeking faculty candidates to fill positions at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor level in the broad area of cancer basic research. Main Programmatic Areas- Immuno-oncology
- Identification of novel therapeutic targets and/or mechanisms of drug resistance
- Outcomes and disparities research
We predominantly seek candidates focusing their research on head and neck cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, and leukemia, as these research areas align closely with clinical programs. The division has strong collaborative ties with other divisions in the Department of Internal Medicine, the Department of Cancer Biology, the Department of Environmental Sciences, and the College of Pharmacy.
Essential FunctionsThis full-time faculty research position will require the candidate to lead a cancer research team. Essential functions include the planning of research programs, the design and interpretation of experiments, training and mentoring of trainees, and seeking extramural funding with grants and research contracts.
Minimum RequirementsApplicants must have a PhD and/or MD degree. Required experience includes post-doctoral experience with a record of funding appropriate to their career stage and a scholarly record to support and maintain an independent research program funded by extramural grant support.
