Job Summary

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI scans as directed by radiologists, ensuring accurate and timely completion of imaging studies.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Prepare scan rooms for procedures, adhering to approved cleaning protocols and maintaining a safe environment for patients.
  • Administer contrast materials as prescribed by physicians or in approved Radiology protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Implement emergency procedures as needed, prioritizing patient well-being and safety.
  • Enter and record data accurately and promptly, utilizing department and hospital computer systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with organizational, affiliate, and departmental changes, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Provide clinical instruction to staff technologists and students, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI, or ARRT registered in MRI, or ARMRIT-American Registry of MRI certification.
  • BLS certification.
