CoxHealth is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a Nutrition Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients in accordance with The Dietitian Practice Act and National Standards of Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Nutrition Care Team
    • Develop and implement nutrition plans of care for patients
    • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare teams
  • Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy
    • Implement patient-centered nutrition interventions and goals
    • Manage per-provider ordered protocols for the delivery of Medical Nutrition Therapy
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals
    • Evaluate the quality, safety, and effectiveness of specialized nutrition therapies
    • Precept Dietetic Interns and assist with quality improvement initiatives
  • Develop Educational Programs
    • Provide educational programs for clients, students, employees, and community audiences
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University
    • Master's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field (required after January 2024)
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years of clinical experience (preferred)
    • Experience in Nutrition Diagnostics and Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (preferred)
    • Experience in provision of specialized nutrition support (preferred)
  • Skills
    • Reading, writing, and mathematical calculations pertinent to the position
    • Computer skills
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Registered Dietitian with applicable State Licensure
    • Maintains Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
    • Maintains applicable State Licensure
    • Board certification in advanced specialty practice (preferred)
