About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Technician to join our team at Holy Cross Health. As a Dialysis Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our dialysis program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre, intradialytic, and post-dialysis assessments of patient condition and document accordingly.
  • Identify and prioritize patient care needs, working closely with RNs to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments according to unit policies and protocols.
  • Draw periodic lab work and monitor intake and output, reporting any concerns to RNs.
  • Prepare water treatment systems and hemodialysis machines for patient shifts, adhering to physician orders.
  • Monitor dialysis machine readings and parameters, making adjustments as needed.
Requirements
  • Certification as a nursing assistant by the Maryland State Board of Nursing, as a CNA-DT.
  • Completion of CCHT or BONENT national certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS from American Heart Association.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and retrieval.
