Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs of school buildings.
  • Manage landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging.
  • Perform pruning of trees and shrubs to promote healthy growth.
  • Remove debris and damaged plant materials to maintain aesthetic appeal.
  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed to support plant health.
  • Prepare and condition soil for planting various flora.
  • Water and care for lawns, shrubs, and flower beds.
  • Maintain pathways and road surfaces to ensure safety.
  • Utilize heavy machinery and equipment for grounds maintenance.
  • Transport equipment and materials as required.
  • Execute minor repairs on maintenance tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of landscaping and horticultural practices.
  • Experience in planting, cultivating, and maintaining various plants.
  • Proficiency in operating heavy maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance on tools.
  • Strong capability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
