Position Summary

This role is pivotal in guaranteeing that the products manufactured, packaged, and dispatched to our clients adhere to all established Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards. The primary focus is on conducting in-process mechanical inspections and receiving inspections of hardware delivered for inclusion in contract/project assembly and final product delivery.

  • Ensure that all products manufactured, packaged, and shipped meet established Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards.
  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings, sample data, and other documentation to determine or modify specifications or inspection and testing procedures.
  • Maintain and clean testing equipment and instruments, certifying that precision instruments comply with standards.
  • Conduct inspections for incoming and in-process products using appropriate inspection tools.
  • Collect samples for testing and analyze findings.
  • Reject or discard products, materials, and equipment that do not meet specifications.
  • Inspect materials, products, and work in progress for compliance with specifications, adjusting processes or assembly equipment as necessary.
  • Document acceptance or rejection of items, record test results and inspection data, and compare findings with specifications to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Review maintenance records to confirm that plant equipment operates correctly.
  • Test and measure finished products, components, or assemblies for functionality, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to specifications.
  • Monitor and manage measurement and test equipment for recalls and calibration.
  • Support the quality management system by conducting internal and process audits.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Experience and Skills:

In compliance with federal law, all individuals hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

  • Experience with CMM operation and programming using PCDMIS or similar software.
  • Familiarity with ISO-9001:2015 and/or AS9001 standards.
  • Experience with QMS software and ERP systems such as Costpoint, Gage Trak, and TIPQA is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
  • Experience in a machine shop environment is beneficial.
  • IPC-610 experience or certification is an advantage.
  • Understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment in the design and production of various goods and services.

Education:

  • High School diploma or trade school graduate with 3-5 years of relevant inspection experience.
  • AA degree in a technical field such as Drafting, Engineering, Machining, or Quality is preferred.
