Key Responsibilities:
Continuously pursue improvement and automation opportunities within the testing framework.

Develop and apply expertise in quality assurance, offering guidance and support to team members.

Identify, suggest, and implement standard practices relevant to the field.

Comply with internal policies and applicable regulatory standards.

Stay informed about emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and evaluate their potential impacts.

Engage collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external, to transition from defect detection to proactive defect prevention.

Foster a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes aligned with risk appetite.

Monitor service levels, productivity, and efficiency within the function, implementing continuous process and performance enhancements where applicable.


Provide timely feedback throughout the development and design phases; analyze and report on test results to ensure the quality of the intended solution is achieved.

Support test planning (including requirement testability), test design/development, test case automation, and test execution to meet business objectives.

Integrate seamlessly into a team's continuous delivery framework, enhancing the delivery of quality software while ensuring speed, agility, and risk management.

Act as a partner and provide ongoing support to the enterprise and/or business, aligning with Testing Methodology and Quality Engineering best practices.

Analyze the complete solution (business, solution requirements, architecture, blueprints, etc.) to recommend practical and sound test-specific solutions for the area; may analyze, develop, debug, and maintain test suites (automated/manual), traceability matrices; and log defects/assist in defect resolution as necessary.

Implement effective testing strategies and provide guidance to delivery teams in utilizing tools and setting up environments that support ongoing quality and traceability.

Assist the team in test activities throughout the testing lifecycle, focusing on value-driven outcomes, and aid in defining test data and environment requirements.

Utilize virtual assets to support the virtualization of any incomplete or unavailable code, service, database, etc.


Understand test data management to reuse automated test data provisioning capabilities and adopt a standardized test data toolset.

May begin to support source code management, seeking opportunities to effectively leverage tools and engineering practices (DevOps tools and processes, SV, monitoring tools and processes, etc.).

Contribute to the design and development process to ensure built-in quality code.


Implement test scripts ensuring they are integrated into the continuous integration, delivery, and testing (CI/CD/CT) pipeline for both functional and non-functional automation (performance, readiness/reliability testing, accessibility, security) following an agreed-upon approach using available frameworks.


Responsible for documenting and supporting the proactive identification of end-to-end test solution designs and early automation opportunities.


Collaborate with the development team to define and validate appropriate user stories, acceptance criteria, and definitions of done/ready.

Apply the principles of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD), focusing on value-driven outcomes.

Provide feedback, reporting, and analytics on overall quality, performance, user experience, and future bug prevention.

Keep others informed and updated about the status and progress of projects, along with all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
BS degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline; or equivalent practical experience.

3-5 years of relevant experience.

Experience in accessibility testing, including screen readers, color contrast, and bookmarklets.

Background in the Financial Services Industry, with knowledge of Commercial Lending Business, retail banking, Treasury Management, and Credit Adjudication.

Strong experience in understanding functional requirements, planning, designing, and executing end-to-end tests.

Ability to create and execute integration and end-to-end test scenarios and cases.


Proficient in test automation development for full-stack components using Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, TestNG, and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) – Cucumber.

Experience and a continuous testing mindset in a CI/CD environment.

Good experience working with Java and JSON, with the ability to write code/functions for complex scenarios, integration points, and support multiple technologies (legacy and digital).

Excellent hands-on experience using tools like Jenkins, Maven, Jira/JTMF, and Bitbucket.

Preferred:
Familiarity with Splunk.

Experience using Unix scripting and commands, XML, and Python.

Data and file transfer testing for Batch Processing/Scheduling, FTP, IBM MQ/DistributedMQ.

Experience in test strategy and planning.
