At Ramboll US Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air Quality Principal to join our Environment and Health department. As a key member of our Air Quality team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing innovative solutions to help us grow our Midwest business unit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and business leadership, as well as contributing to the development of air quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This will involve managing consulting assignments, working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, and communicating complex information to clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include identifying and pursuing business development opportunities, managing projects and clients, and critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the preparation of comprehensive federal and state air permit application materials, testifying at administrative and/or court hearings, and participating in local, national, and international scientific and trade group meetings.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in air quality and business development. The ideal candidate will have a B.S./M.S./Ph.D. degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline, and at least 20 years of related air science experience, largely in a consulting environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • B.S./M.S./Ph.D. degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline
  • 20+ years of related air science experience, largely in a consulting environment
  • Demonstrated capabilities in understanding, interpreting, and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations
  • Understanding of air quality issues and agency-approved methods and guidance
  • Ability to externally manage client and regulatory agency relationships and internally manage staff and competing project priorities
  • Demonstrated business development capabilities
