Job Summary:

The Radiation Therapist applies ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist. Under the direction of the Program Director of the School of Radiation Therapy Technology, teaches theory and clinical practice to Technology students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Applies ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.
• Teaches theory and clinical practice to Technology students under the direction of the Program Director of the School of Radiation Therapy Technology.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree is required.
• Must have satisfactorily completed a college course in Radiation Therapy Technology.
• Must hold a current license as required by state or National Authority and Registered in Radiation Therapy by ARRT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
