YHA Borrowdale is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join their team. As a Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for leading the housekeeping operation within the hostel, ensuring excellent and consistent levels of cleanliness to agreed YHA standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the team to provide exceptional housekeeping services
  • Monitoring and controlling expenditure within the housekeeping function
  • Cleaning in all areas of the hostel, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and public areas
  • Managing linen stocks and ordering cleaning materials
  • Rota planning to ensure correct levels of staffing in housekeeping
  • Supporting with customer-facing duties and delivering an excellent service to guests and visitors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in housekeeping and management
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and cover different shifts
  • Knowledge of health and safety compliance requirements
  • Computer literacy and experience of managing a team
