POSITION OVERVIEW
The Mechanical Assembly Technician is tasked with the assembly of various components including piping, valves, gauges, reliefs, burners, and other related equipment on pressure vessels and skids. A successful candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong work ethic, ensuring that all quality standards are upheld.

$2,500 SIGN ON BONUS

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consistent and timely attendance is crucial for this position and contributes to both personal effectiveness and team productivity. All employees are expected to maintain regular attendance.
  1. Utilize various hand, air, and power tools safely and correctly.
  2. Identify and inspect all components for defects to guarantee quality output.
  3. Examine all connections to confirm proper sealing.
  4. Accurately identify and document parts and components.
  5. Prepare and secure components for hydrostatic testing in accordance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards.
  6. Assist with the loading of shipments.
  7. Maintain a positive attitude and embrace the company philosophy.
  8. Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  9. Cut and thread piping as necessary.
  10. Install, align, and seal flanged piping.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  1. At least 6 months of experience in heavy assembly, manufacturing, or material handling, or equivalent experience.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  3. Ability to safely operate a Crane and Forklift (certification required).
  4. Intermediate mathematical skills and proficiency in reading a tape measure.
  5. Willingness to learn about pressure gauges and their applications.
  6. Capability to read and interpret assembly blueprints and bills of materials.
  7. Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  8. Familiarity with quality and production policies and procedures, including defect detection.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  1. Ability to stand for extended periods, potentially for the entire shift.
  2. Capacity to perform repetitive physical tasks.
  3. Ability to exert moderate to heavy physical effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  4. Strong range of motion is required.
  5. Ability to sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend.
  6. Capability to see, speak, and hear effectively.
  7. Ability to read instructions and utilize measuring devices.
  8. Dexterity to manipulate tools and small components.
  9. Ability to navigate both even and uneven surfaces.
  10. Capacity to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
  11. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  12. Physical ability to access all areas of the facility.
  13. Some tasks may require working in confined spaces.
  14. Some responsibilities may necessitate close vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus on small details.
