Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Asst Store Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the non-perishable food and merchandise operations, assisting the Store Manager with inventory management, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the receipt, opening, and unpacking of merchandise
  • Stock merchandise, rotate, and face merchandise on shelves
  • Restock returned and recovered merchandise
  • Authorize and sign for refunds and overrides
  • Assist with management of the store in the Store Manager's absence
  • Assist with scheduling employees and entering payroll information
  • Order drop-shipments and assist with ordering
  • Ensure accurate inventory levels and maintain a clean, well-organized store
  • Provide superior customer service and comply with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Three years of retail store experience, including at least one to two years as a Department Head/Assistant Manager
  • Ability to read and interpret operating statements and identify corrective actions
  • Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
  • Ability to perform cash register functions and generate reports

Working Conditions:

Frequent walking and standing, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching, frequent handling of merchandise and equipment, and occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds.
