Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant at Aspire Allergy & Sinus, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of curing patients with allergy, asthma, and sinus problems.
Key Responsibilities:- Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs, medical history, and current medication lists.
- Effectively communicate allergy testing and treatment protocols to patients.
- Administer subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections.
- Conduct thorough and accurate spirometry testing.
- Navigate EHR systems to record accurate patient health information.
- Serve patients and visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
- Assist in answering incoming and outgoing phone calls and providing accurate information.
- Track clinical inventory and resupply when needed.
- Ensure all end-of-day reports and logs are accurate and complete.
- Follow all HIPAA rules and regulations, including confidentiality of patient information.
- Adhere to Aspire Allergy's protocols and safety measures.
- Adhere to OSHA requirements, including universal precautions and sharps disposal guidelines.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively and clearly communicate.
- Ability to administer subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections.
- Ability to manually take patient vital signs.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in difficult or emergent situations.
- Completed Medical Assistant Program or Degree.
- 1+ Years of Medical Assistant Experience.
- 1+ Years of Medical Receptionist Experience.
- Medical Assistant Certificate, vocational nurse license, or related experience.
- Current CPR Certification.
