Job Summary

OrthoLoneStar PLLC is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with patient care, including casting, bracing, and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Provide information to patients to help them fully utilize and benefit from our clinic services.
  • Convey a positive image of our clinic and maintain a timely and safe environment.
  • Work closely with staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided.
  • Assist with completion of procedure and diagnosis coding of encounter forms.
  • Review and help facilitate physician's communication folder and electronic tasks daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred graduation from an accredited course for Medical Assisting.
  • One year experience in a healthcare setting, preferably orthopedics.
  • MA certificate preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with physicians, staff, and outside consultants.
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements, including OSHA regulations.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications, including our current EMR.
